Beginning around 1972 Ed Bonja (Elvis' tour
manager) started taping Elvis' shows at the sound
board either directly from Elvis' microphone input or
from the recording booth output. As Ed tells it "I
recorded many Elvis concerts from the soundboard
so that I would have tapes to play in my car when we
were not on tour. I would document what songs were
sung, as well as any other pertinent information
about each particular concert." The tapes were later
given to Colonel Parker and copies of the
documentation sheets filed away both in the Colonel's
files and the tour managers files. The documents
listed below are all original 1970's soundboard
listings. Each is a typewritten letter size copy with
Ed's handwritten notes. Some are stamped either
'Presley File Copy' or 'Parker File Copy'. All come
with an original signed letter of authenticity from Ed
Bonja.

The Business Side of Things
White August 1973 stage worn scarf II - £250/$400
A very nice 3 sides hemmed scarf from Elvis' August 1973 Las Vegas season. The scarf shows clear sweat
and make-up stains along almost the entire length of the scarf where it was draped around Elvis' neck, having
been used on stage before being given to a fan. We now know this scarf was received between august 27th
and August 31st, 1973. This style of scarf was not available at the souvenir stands and could only be obtained
straight from Elvis' hand. The Scarf retains many of the original folds from when it was first manufactured and
we have shown some of these in the images.
Stage worn scarf - Las Vegas, August 1973 - £250/$400
Rare, three sides hemmed, white scarf. No signature. The hem is tightly stitched and of medium width. ~34x 33
inches. Squared corners. Good sweat and make-up stains, including a good two inch square area that is brown
with make-up. Obtained at a show between August 27th and August 31st, 1973. Scarves with 3 hemmed sides
and no signature first came into use in 1973. These three sides hemmed scarves were used until early 1976, but
were rare by then. They reached their zenith of use in 1974. This scarf was purchased directly from the lady
who attended a show in Las Vegas in August of 1973.

Anaheim April 24, 1973 stage worn scarf - £300/$495
A very nice 3 sides hemmed scarf from Elvis' April 1973 tour. The scarf was received in Anaheim at the April
24th show. No visible sweat stains, but this is one of the first 3 sides hemmed scarves used on tour and is
made of a finer satin/silk type material as opposed to the poly-blend material used in August 1973 and for
Elvis' signature scarves. Quite a rare fabric. Only the second one we have had.

Fresno April 25, 1973 Hilton towel used by Elvis - £500/$800
Another very rare piece this time from the collection of noted collector Robin Rosaaen of 'All The Kings Things'.
This towel was used by Elvis as he left the Fresno Hilton after his shows on April 25, 1973. Included is a
photograph of Elvis using the towel in the back seat of his limo as he left the hotel. The towel was later
presented to Robin. Towel is in excellent condition and has a very fresh smell to it (Elvis' cologne?). Stored in a
zip lock bag and rarely touched for the last 35 years this is an excellent piece.
Even the photograph that comes with the towel (a copy of Robin's original) is one of the only known shots of
Elvis in Fresno and shows him wearing the Tiffany suit! Try finding another picture of Elvis wearing this suit in
1973. Comes with an LOA from Robin. This is a wonderful piece in great condition with a solid provenance. It
doesn't get much better than this. More rare than almost any scarf and deserving of a place in any discerning
collectors display case.
