NWA 2843 was classified as an H 3.9 chondrite and contains many well defined
chondrules set in a porous, metal rich matrix. Originally classified from a single stone, two
more masses have been found which are unofficially paired with this meteorite. This is a
fabulous looking meteorite with large inclusions. Low total known weight of less than 1 kilo.
NWA 2844 is a more common L5 chondrite. Similar to NWA 2850 in appearance it has a
light brown mottled matrix with many tiny metallic grains. Displays nicely with the
occasional well defined yellow chondrule. Originally classified from a single stone, three
more masses have been found, which are unofficially paired with this meteorite. Still a low
total known weight of around 1 kilo.
