NWA 2851 is a beautiful L4 chondrite with abundant blue-grey chondrules of varying
sizes, a moderately coarse grained matrix and with tiny metallic flakes. The matrix is a
light grey and is not heavily weathered. Fusion crust still remains on some specimens and
although dulled by weathering is distinct on the meteorite surface. Total known weight is
less than 1.5 kg consisting of the classified specimen and a paired stone.
