written in either Latin or Old English. Being on velum they are much more durable than
if they had been written on paper. All are guaranteed genuine and mostly relate to
agreements and deeds of land. Excellent examples of different scripts used in the past
and all are of a high quality penmanship.

Manuscripts
An excellent example on a piece of velum that has been deliberately shaped along
the edges. The piece measures 15 x 4.5 inches. A very good, neat script that can be
daunting to decipher due to the unusual form of the characters. This is a Tudor court
script that is quite unlike any script used today. An excellent example of early

of handwriting) and there is text on both sides of the velum. Part of the original wax

good, more modern court script that is easier to decipher than in the earlier pieces.
Many phrases are in Old English and so much of the text can be read. There are several
nice signatures present and the piece has a nice clear date within the body of the text.
