Very good quality vertebrae showing the diagnostic pinched
keel of this genus. Great bone preservation with a complete
neural arch and some of the processes. Very hard to find
these days. Measures ~20 x 32 x 30 mm (3/4 x 1 x 1 inch)

This collection is from a site near Frederick, Oklahoma and was collected in
1974. The collection includes the following specimens, all of which belong to the
species Dimetrodon gigashomogenes:
Partial vertebrae
Ankle bone
Two partial limb bones (1 upper and 1 lower)
Rib section (repaired)

The ankle bone is the smallest piece measuring 30mm - 1 inch long
the rib section is particularly nice and measures 115mm - 4.5 inches long
