Thin Sections
On this page you will find thin sections that we currently offer. You will see that these are all budget priced pieces. This is because we do not finish these slides to a specfic thickness. They are simply worked until they look good, which is typically thin enough for polarised light studies. All the images are of actual slides for sale and illustrate the typical internal details that are visible. The slides are made as thinly as we can get them, with a 600 grit polish, and we do not use cover slips. There may be some marks on the corners of the slides from the grinding process, but you will not find cheaper slides anywhere.
